Landhaus 2

Due to the state of preservation of the existing building fabric, the buildings of property 16 will be demolished. The small-scale nature of the rooms would not do justice to a conversion and, in addition, the view of the landscape from the buildings in the green area would be impeded. The fragmentation of the individual structures therefore stands in the way of an appropriate quality of stay in the outdoor area. For this reason, this project aims for a completely new building. The so-called “Landhaus 2” consists of two buildings that reinterpret the basic structure of property 14. The head building is dedicated to the public and faces the main square; the long building in the rear courtyard accommodates communal living with a communal garden. The ground floor in the courtyard is dedicated to events in both properties and offers an unobstructed view of the greenery and landscape.
