This project pursues the idea of combining high-quality housing with integrated after-school care for children and young people in the area of the “Alte Mühle” property. None of the twelve flats is like any other. The planned two- to four-room flats vary between 46m² and 124m² and are each equipped with a balcony and/or terrace. Responding to the natural context, the terraces were adapted to the contours of the directly adjacent mountain. Two atriums in the residential building provide additional natural light sources for the flats. These form a green inner courtyard that can be accessed on the ground floor. The implementation of afternoon care for children and youths from 1-14 years follows the needs and possibilities of the locality. Due to the proximity to the kindergarten, the latter can be supported in the event of an increase in the number of children in afternoon care. An additional offer is an afternoon care for children and youths of school age (6-14 years), in order to relieve working parents.
