Herzensangelegenheit

This project around the “Punzhaus” is based on a clearly visible addition to the existing building that seeks to respond to the location. The materials used in the process deliberately emphasise the value of the building and reinforce the contrast between old and new, which is also reflected in the uses. In the ground floor zone, the existing rooms are being converted through targeted interventions so that there is space for a doctor’s practice and also barrier-free access. The roof will be converted into a new residential floor and will function as a private, separate living space. This living area itself is understood as a “living loft” with a spacious living area. Due to the hillside location, it is possible to access the living floor “barrier-free” via the terrace.
