The project at hand is fighting with all its might against the history of the site and focuses entirely on the theme of art in the sense of a connection and communication between visitors and users. The present Kunsthaus has private, diverse studios that can be rented, as well as an exhibition area for fine art. The former movement courtyard will also be used as an exhibition space for sculptures. The guiding parameters for fulfilling the self-chosen task initially follow the idea of only making as few interventions as possible within the existing building. In addition, both the new building and all of the interventions just mentioned will be designed in such a way that they are clearly distinguishable from the existing building and are clearly recognisable as such.
