Cycle Space

The project is intended to promote cycling tourism and create a place for cyclists from small to large. The approach used here is to completely preserve the entrance tract with its historic facade facing the street. A bicycle store with a workshop is to find its place in the right part of the existing structure and to the left of it the hostel with sleeping facilities in different sizes will be accommodated. In the new building, on the other hand, there will be a Buschenschank with a communal kitchen, which will also be actively used by the residents of Pulkau. A place where regionally grown fruit and vegetables can be processed together. Furthermore, an additional access to the site from the village square is to be created. Two circular movement routes were implemented at the site, which are separated by the catering area like a “glass” threshold.
