WeinMarktQuartier Schöngrabern

The project aims to revitalize the old elementary school in the center of the village. With this in mind, a vinotheque will be integrated on the first floor, offering an appropriate atmosphere for wine tastings. The upper floor, on the other hand, offers flexible rooms for both private events and club meetings. The attic floor, which has also been extended, provides additional space for larger events or exhibitions. All floors are ultimately accessible via an elevator. A newly erected, single-storey building opposite the elementary school houses market stalls with customizable openings, where local suppliers can present their products. The green roof area aims to integrate itself consciously into the site with its numerous levels and differences in height. A barrier-free marketplace links the individual areas. The project thus specifically promotes the wine region, supports local producers and creates a place that combines enjoyment, culture and tradition to attract visitors and locals alike. It stands for sustainability, accessibility and the promotion of regional diversity.
