The ggst. The project envisages the conversion of the old elementary school building in Schöngraben into a multifunctional center for community activities. It places particular emphasis on accessibility as well as accessibility for bicycles through ramps and wheelchair lifts. The aim is to create an environmentally friendly, economical event building that carefully respects the local history and its buildings. On the south side of the building, seating areas of different heights were created in the garden area. The significant new access wing was designed with daylight and natural ventilation in mind and uses climate-friendly materials wherever possible. In the existing building, an attempt was made to make as few changes as possible to the first floor and only a small hall was designed that can be used for events and smaller functions. The upper floor of the building, on the other hand, underwent major changes in order to develop a large multifunctional space. The windows of the main building have been modernized to reduce CO2 emissions. For energy efficiency, a Transolar energy system was implemented to ensure a cost-effective and environmentally friendly energy supply.
