This comprehensive redesign of the village center includes three major interventions to create a lively center. A newly laid out square around the historic church not only offers space for a market, gatherings or festivals, it also allows the church to be experienced from all sides. A wide flight of steps connects the church square with the adjacent neighboring property and the new event building, creating a spatial connection between the elements of the village center. The existing school building, on the other hand, will only undergo minimal interventions and will be converted into a clubhouse. This urban development concept focuses on the development of a larger, inviting public space that encourages relaxation, recreation and communal activities. The aim is to transform the urban space into a social meeting place and also to make the architectural structure of the church around it tangible.
