This project pursues the idea of transforming the qualities and characteristics of the Hohenwarth site, comparable to wine production – hence the title – into an architectural form. The opening up of the area is also intended to ensure the development of a distinct centre. Targeted openings in the existing retaining wall are a key feature of the design, which is ostensibly dedicated to the theme of wine and its consumption. In the course of exploring the area and its building parts, targeted light guides provide visitors with a comprehensive experience of the functions of the wine shop, gastronomy and co-working spaces. The range of functions on the street side is supplemented by a medical centre.
